1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, your password (stored securely, hashed, by our authentication provider), and optionally your first name, last name, and username (@handle). You can also use the app as an anonymous guest, in which case no email is required until you choose to create an account.

Content you create. We store the tasting notes you add (wine details, colour, aromas, score, text, price, occasion, etc.) and any photos you attach (e.g. wine labels).

AI label scan. If you use the optional AI label scan, the photo you capture is sent to Google (Gemini API) to read the label and suggest wine details. We do not use these images to train models; they are processed to return the result to you.

Friends & sharing. If you use the social features, we store your friend requests, friendships, shared notes, comments, and wishlist. Your name and @handle are visible to other signed-in users so they can find and connect with you. A pour you share is visible to the specific friend(s) you send it to.

Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat. We (through RevenueCat) receive your subscription status and a pseudonymous app user identifier. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Device & local data. If you enable biometric sign-in (Face ID / Touch ID), the related credential is stored only on your device (in the secure keychain) and is never sent to us.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
